Welcome to Year 4
Toucan Class
Welcome to Toucan Class. We are lucky enough to have two teachers, Mrs Wright and Mrs Ginns and our wonderful teaching assistant, Miss Tulett. In Toucan class we are developing ourselves to be the best we can possibly be. We strive to be resilient with our learning and develop ourselves to grow into amazing individuals. We are really looking forward to our exciting learning such as reading some inspiring books and rocking out on TT Rockstars. We are looking forward to developing our number knowledge and applying our skills to reasoning tasks. Swimming will be a highlight for us but we are also looking forward to practising other sports such as football. We have some exciting adventures ahead of us this year in our learning and cannot wait to round off the year with a trip to see Matilda in London – it is going to be amazing. What a year this one will be!
Peacock Class
Miss Sahota and Mrs Atkinson are here to lead the muster of Peacocks of Year 4. We are keen and competitive learners who cannot wait to stretch our times table knowledge up to 12x12. We count, we sing, we battle on TT Rockstars and we like to show everyone how amazing we are. In Peacocks, we love being immersed in new stories as well as being immersed in our own books. We cannot wait to get our pen licences so we are working hard to practise forming our letters correctly and joining them beautifully. Peacocks can't wait to see what Year 4 has in store for them!
Hippo Class
Welcome to Hippo Class. Our class teacher is Mr Dickenson and our lovely teaching assistant, Mrs Aquilina. In Hippo class we are working hard to be the best we can possibly be. We strive to be resilient with our learning and develop ourselves to grow into amazing individuals. We show responsibility in everything we do and will have lots of chances to show how responsible we are within the classroom. One of our real focuses this year will be on our Times Tables knowledge, speed and accuracy ready for our check towards the end of the year. Swimming will also be a highlight for us this year; where we will showcase our skills of bravery by pushing ourselves to progress from our own starting points. We have some exciting adventures ahead of us this year in our learning and can’t wait to share them with you. What a year this one will be!
