Welcome to Year 3
Sloth Class
Llama Class
Welcome to Llama class with Mrs Wilde Hayes and Mrs Manchester. We are so excited to be working with the amazing new Llama class, where the double ‘l’ stands for learning and laughter! Mrs Wilde Hayes cannot wait to teach history as we will be learning about her favourite eras – Ancient Egyptians, Ancient Greeks and Ancient Romans. Mrs Manchester is the cheerleader for Hawks class; she loves to celebrate every step of progress that each child makes. This year really will be packed full of fun and learning and is sure to be a llama-zing year!
Here are some llama facts:
1. Llamas belong to the same family of animals as camels.
2. Llamas are tall animals, measuring between 120 and 180cm.
3. They’re also very strong animals and can carry up to a third of their body weight.
4. Llamas are found in South America
5. Llamas have three stomachs.
6. Llama farmers call llama poop “llama beans” and it doesn’t smell.
7. Llamas are social animals that prefer to live with other llamas or other herd animals.
8. A baby llama is called a 'cria'
