Nursery
Welcome to Rainbows
At Rainbows Nursery, we understand that the early years are a crucial stage in every child's development. We provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children develop confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.
As part of the Swingate Primary School family, our nursery offers high-quality early years education for children aged 3+, helping them to flourish academically, physically and emotionally while building the skills they need for a successful start to school.
Our Vision
We believe every child is unique. Through play, exploration and meaningful learning experiences, we nurture children's independence, resilience, empathy and confidence.
Our experienced team creates engaging opportunities that encourage children to:
- Develop a love of learning
- Build positive relationships
- Grow in confidence and independence
- Explore their interests and talents
- Learn through play and investigation
- Prepare successfully for Reception and beyond
Our Nursery
Rainbows Nursery is fully integrated into the life of Swingate Primary School. Children enjoy opportunities to:
- Visit the school library
- Take part in whole-school events and celebrations
- Participate in charity and themed days
- Access outdoor learning and Forest School experiences
- Build familiarity with the school environment before starting Reception
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, providing a balance of child-initiated and adult-led learning across all areas of development.

The safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority.
Our staff are experienced, caring and trained in Paediatric First Aid. We work closely with families to ensure every child feels safe, happy and supported throughout their time with us.
Supporting Every Child
We recognise that children develop at different rates and have different strengths, interests and needs.
We are committed to providing an inclusive environment where every child can thrive. Our staff work closely with families and, where appropriate, external professionals to ensure children receive the support they need to achieve their full potential.
