Year 3 Classes
Welcome to Year 3.
We love being in Owl class. We are particularly excited to be in year 3 because we get our own lockers and we get to go swimming.
We also love our book corner and our favourite author is Roald Dahl. We already read regularly at home and we also really enjoy sharing books with each other in school too.
Now we are in year 3 we are trying to be more active in our learning. We have been finding ways to be really independent by using resources and things around our classroom so that we can overcome challenges on our own or with our friends.
Jigsaw PSHE is a great time when we can learn to listen carefully to each other and value each other, but we also like the quiet time we get when the chime sounds.
In Hawk class we are always happy and friendly and we love being in Year 3. We always work hard and we are proud of ourselves.
Our favourite area in our classroom is our bright, colourful Reading Garden. Some of our favourite books are the Mr Men books, Spy Pups, Where’s Wally and all books by David Walliams (who is the most popular author in our class).
We really enjoy Maths, Science, English and Art. In our class we are always kind to each other and we always try to be respectful to others and our school property.
Just like a hawk, we work as a team, we are resourceful and we adapt and overcome any challenge!
We are so excited to be in Year 3 and joining KS2 with Miss Kemp and Mrs Hannaford. We are looking forward to new learning, including our amazing topics: The Bronze Age, Eurovision, The Romans, The Land of Hope and Glory, Ancient Egypt and Save the World!
In Year 3, we are looking forward to sharing our learning with Hawks Class and Owl Class. Playtimes and lunchtimes are brilliant with different activities and sports leaders from Y6 teaching us new games. We’ve loved playing handball so far.
In Eagles Class, we learn together, taking turns, sharing and by trying our best. We love using songs and games to help us with our learning and are exploring the different resources that we can use. Our favourite time of the week is a Friday afternoon when we can open our door to let our grown-ups in to share the learning that we have been doing.
We will have the best year!
